Mother Blessings in Farnham, Surrey

A mother blessing is a beautiful way to offer love & nourishment to a woman as she prepares to bring her baby earthside.

Expectant mothers deserve to be celebrated. They should be shown their magic & know that they are cared for.

A Mother Blessing is a place to begin to create a sense of community around the expectant mother, surrounding her with love & allowing her to feel special. It is an opportunity for the women that love her to gather in circle & share their wisdom & experience, bringing a sense of wonder & sacredness back to this life changing moment in time.

A mother blessing reminds the expectant mother that she is important & that she is worthy & deserving of support. It allows her to feel seen, honoured, nurtured and held at this vulnerable & transformative time and provides her with strength for the journey ahead.

What happens at a Mother Blessing?

I offer Mother Blessings in Farnham and the surrounding areas. These ceremonies are usually held in the later stages of pregnancy, around 36-38 weeks. We will plan your blessing together ensuring it is unique to your individual wishes & preferences.

Although every Mother Blessing is unique, there is a rhythm & sequence which guides each ceremony:

Welcome, introduction & intention setting

Opening ceremony: This may include a meditation, reading, songs or chants

Honouring the mother: A choice of activities that honour the mother, pregnancy & birth

Sharing space: Guests are invited to share something to demonstrate their love & support

Connecting beyond the ceremony: thread binding/ candle sharing

Closing ceremony

Informal gathering: Time to be together & share food & drinks

A mother blessing is powerful for both the mother and the guests, bringing everyone together to connect through their shared love & experience. It creates a feeling of belonging that lasts beyond the experience itself.
